Spring Wellness Wisdom.
Each passage of time brings a bitter sweetness of what it means to be a human on Earth. Echoing a truth that each day is precious and life is truly a gift. If we are lucky we are conscious enough to acknowledge these journeys through time as the opportunities that they are. Chances to evolve, to learn to thrive and become the embodiment of our prayers and visions. Discovering our most authentic expression of gratitude through reverence for nature itself, when life itself urges us to as what we can give in return for all that has been given.
This Spring we invite you to work with these seasonal medicines and foods in the hearth tradition of see our plates and bowls as spaces for ritual of renewal. Working with the teas and broths as a prayer of appreciation for the sacred vessel that is your body. Tending to the tasks of the season in preparation for the ceremonies or journeys to come. And it's in these daily rituals that we transform consciousness and uncover the truths of how to hold ourselves as the sacred dwelling places for our embodied spirits.
Wellness after all has always been about a way of being that embraces healing as a course and action to a life path of gratitude. A core daily practice that by it’s very nature embraced the process and purification of our beings with seasonal actions. Actions connected to the cycles of earth herself, our bodily needs and the rythym of ceremonial ways of life. Paying attention to our bodies as we open to the truth that in each of us is a well of potential, an inner healer with an ancient genetic memory of the primary source of guidance in our lives. Through our senses and sensations.. Through hearing the wind, feeling changed in the waters and letting fires teach us from the loving arms of stone circles, we become well.
We hope that your lives are blessed as you explore self care as spiritual practice this season in these offerings from the curanderismo lineages of the Eagle, Quetzal and Condor that have blessed our lives as Earth Peoples United.

Fire in the mind, body, spirit on the Red Road of life as ceremony.
As the wheel of time turns it is important to acknowledge what has been teaching us and assisting our growth, humbly approaching our inner fires to see ourselves and our lives more clearly as a gift to the plants and sacred plant teachers that we have walked with. Giving thanks to the medicines themselves and honoring the insights and purifications spirit has gifted us along the way.
It’s in these moments in our year, when light and dark meet in balance at equinox, that we come to the thresholds of portals within ourselves that we can take to ground and generate balance in ourselves, to set powerful intentions rooted in the truth of what we have sown and harvested. We look at where we have journeyed from our last equinox, we look ahead towards this next solstice. And in that awareness we can empower all our visions. Choosing to work with the energies and the wisdom encoded in our own trees of life to choose to walk with awareness.
This spring let yourself be with the fire element as often as possible, outside in a stone circle if your circumstances allow. To be quiet and intentionally offer yourself love. Love and compassion for all the light and all the dark of your humanity — of our humanity. To tell the truth of the emotional fires we burn or smother in our lives. Looking into the flames for guidance for how to make sacred space for our emotional growth. Stay there a while, in this wellness ritual, to appreciate the fire in the body, mind and spirit. To see how to better feed the fires of love and inspiration in your life.
Seek guidance on the root causes of why we might have fires that burn as inflammation in our body.
Request help in places we might have blinding emotions in our relationships.
Do this self love work alone, with care and quiet honor for the beautiful truth that we must arrive at our inner fires for ourselves if e are to be able to share flames of love with others.
Meditations on the journey from the midpoint, and being with the light and dark of transitions.
Take the opportunity this season to serve balance through your state of being. Focusing on your emotions and thoughts as a gentle but strong fire, balanced between the light and dark aspects in life, celebrating that in their equal portions they inform you more of yourself, create your wholeness and give way to the deeper medicine within you. In the casting shadows we can start to make sense of as places of power within to guide the body through any feeling, fear, excitement or otherwise.
Visualize your inner fire as you breathe and contemplate all that happened in the year that is completing without judgement, but a willingness to truly see the pattern in your flames and smoke. And again using the breath to center yourself, make the prayers for your life you wish to crystalize in this journey through the medicine wheel and envision the sacred work of the year ahead. This is a good time plan, prepare, and request spiritual guidance for the year ahead. You can also burn incense or smudge like sage or cedar, to create cleansing smoke that can help make the invisible realm visible during your process of centering yourself for this guiding prayer. But really, make this ritual meditation as common as possible during this time journeying from the midpoint of equinox to solstice. Allow yourself many moments of listening to clarify the vision(s) you harness within.

Let fire energy call up all you have rooted this winter.
Everything created must first start in the spirit lodge of our visions. We crystalize their forms from seeds of inspirations, tending to their manifestation through our will to embody our dreams.
So ask yourself, what has been stirring within since equinox? How have you been feeding or neglecting it and what attention might it need now to grow from here?
Let the energy of fire draw up all the nourishment you have gathered at your roots since the last solstice in order to inform your next actions in life. Bring these contemplations to a journaling process with you as you sip the broths and teas shared this season and explore paths to the informing light of your inner fire.
Bathing in the luminosity of rose medicine.
This spring we invite you to explore the nourishment of ritual baths and flower waters made with rose to spiritually cleanse and oses contain the highest vibrational frequency of all the flowers. Sacred in many traditions, they are master allies in curanderismo. Carried to the altars, placed in the healing baths with prayer or bundled with rosemary, rue, eucalyptus and pepper tree to form brooms to be brushed across the body. They purify, protect and place codes for loving kindness within us.
We can imagine them as carries of luminous gentle flames, Invisible to the eye but recognized the heart and spirit. They are food for our souls and can be worked with as tools for our cleansing and empowerment.
With gentleness and grace, with calm and loving acceptance we must the acknowledgment that thorns exist to protect the soft petals and the promise of tenderness within us. Seeing that boundaries are the fine lines where we love ourselves and others without compromise. In this way we can work with roses to cultivate healthy boundaries, self respect and authentic love for others.
Create ritual baths this spring with rose petals in your tub or by creating a rose petal water altar that you can scoop waters from to bathe with. Pouring the charged waters over your crown and letting them wash over you from head to toe. All the while simply honoring yourself and the rose, being as receptive as you can to the waters and the fire of your intentions empowered by the luminosity of the rose medicine.
It is important to take care in how you gather and clean up the rose petals you use, or any flowers or herbs you may ever use in ritual baths. Choosing wild organic sources when you can, always gathering up every used petal upon completion of your bath to be offered to the fire soon after. You can also offer the petals to the earth or natural bodies of water, but for the intention of tending to your inner fires this spring, we recommend making offerings to fire itself.
Dandelion and it’s teachings on devotion.
A true teacher on the path of plant spirit activation. Humble, simple, so often seen as a nuisance and thing to do away with. Dandelion is great supporter and healer to all the places where anger and sorrow reside our bodies, a purifier and universal medicine that gives itself so freely, always waiting for us when we are ready to breakdown our spiritual poisons.
For countless practical reasons this herb is a powerhouse of nourishment and support for spring time (and any time of needed support). But today meet it for the healer that it is. She cleanses and fortifies the blood and works in support of our livers in magnificent order. Our livers being the processing plant and the landfill within us when we do not deal with anger or violation in our lives.
Just like the attitude a lot of people have to this plant in thier landscape, we want to rip it out and have it not exist.. it reminds us that we can’t ignore problems or things that can spread wildly when not contained.
But let this plant teacher help you harness a deeper understanding of what it means to work with plant spirits.
Step into the fire of self-discovery. This fire will not burn you, it will only burn what you are not.

Earth Day is everyday.
This April we invite you to honor Earth Day with us by making deeper declarations in your life to being a stand for her regeneration. Asking yourself, how can I make more of an effort to stand for the Earth and life itself? How can I honor the Earth Mother Goddess in my life? What will it take for me to see myself as a little Earth, both guardian and receiver of the gift of this life, responsible for healing myself as part of all it takes to heal her. That is in essence the teachings of this time of Pachacuti, the healing of the earth mother through each little earth child of hers. You are little piece of earth, we are each a little piece and part of the great healing it will take to thrive beyond all the destruction. So this Earth Day raise your awareness, honor yourself, and let yourself be more love in action for our Earth Mother.
